How to apply Wholesale Iron-on Transfers
To apply Plastisol Transfers you will need a commercial heat press which can provide at least 50 lbs of pressure and at least 375° F of heat. Many Cheap heat press machines will not work if they can not provide the minimum amount of pressure and heat. The application process with a heat press machine is slightly different depending on the Plastisol transfer formula you choose.
To apply Cotton soft custom heat transfers the application is
- Temperature 375°F – 385°F
- Dwell time – 7 to 10 seconds
- Pressure – 45 to 50 PSI
- Peel immediately after raising heat platen
To apply Polyester Athletic Formula plastisol transfers the application is
- Temperature 325°F (less for tote bags)
- Dwell time – 7 to 10 seconds
- Pressure – 45 to 50 PSI
- Peel immediately after raising heat platen
To apply Wholesale Iron on Transfers (for Home Iron on Use)
- Pre-heat dry iron to wool or high heat setting – do not use steam setting
- Pre-test your fabric for heat tolerance at this setting
- Lay the garment on a hard heat resistant surface
- Place the transfer image ink side down on the fabric
- With heated iron, apply a steady firm pressure of the transfer evenly from side to side for 15 seconds.
- Allow to transfer to cool down and gently peel from corner to corner. If corners do not stick, place film down and iron again.
- Do not wash for 24 hours. Turn garment inside out to wash on Delicate cycle.
